What Not to do when going for an Interview?

Are you a fresher going for your first interview? Is this interview important for you and your career?  Then you must always remember what not to do when you go for an interview?

Remember the most crucial thing which you will have to follow when attending an interview. Get your basics right!

1] Understand the company and position you are applying for.
2] Make basic homework for the position applied.
3] Never attend an hurried interview which is set for the day itself. Give yourself time to understand the requirement.
4] If you are called for an interview, revert back to the email to understand in details about the position.
5] If the email has company details, visit their website to know more about the company and its corporate structure.

Now lets us know what we should not do when attending our first interview or an interview which is very crucial for our career.

1. Never call the HR or the management of the company for company directions or miscellaneous details. Most probably they are the people who will take your interview and you have already created a down image in their mind.
2. Never go on any interview suggested by a friend or relative without proper understanding of the company and its requirement.
3. Never ask salary or compensation details on telephone.
4. Go with an open mind and listen carefully to what HR and management tells you.
5. If you feel you cant work in the organization, give a polite refusal rather than just saying "we will tell you". Remember its you who need that job and not them.
